Well this review was inspired by a little mishap today. I had purchased the M3 style mirrors off of ebay, oh about 2.5 years ago. These are the kind that don't have lights and aren't power adjustable.

Initial Impressions

The good:

They fit well

They have a bluish tint to them which cuts down on the glare from other headlights at night

The bad:

It leaves a hole inside the car where the adjusters for the stock manual mirros would come through. I'm sure there's a simple replacement if you go to the junk yard and pick up these pieces for the power mirrors

They are smaller than the stock mirrors, takes some getting used to.

Time lapsed Review

The mirrors come black, but they are not painted, it is just a black plastic. My car's black so I figured no big deal, but after a few months of being on the car unpainted, they did begin to fade a bit, so I had them painted, now they match the rest of the car perfectly and look great.

Today (6/25/07) approximately 2.5 years after installing these mirrors, the sun finally got to them. I got in my car this morning and my passenger mirror was hanging off of the housing. Apparently it was too hot for the glue and the mirror part didn't want to stay on appropriately anymore. I had to pull the mirror off and plan on using a little guerrila glue to put it back in place as I've found that stuff holds up to anything.

Overall review. For the $50, they weren't a bad replacement for my stock mirrors (one of the housings was cracked, so I wanted a replacement) Although, if you want them color matched, that is going to be more dough.
